A dietary supplement in the form of tablets, supplementing the diet with BCAA - branched-chain amino acids - isoleucine, leucine and valine. Similarly as vitamins, BCAA belong to exogenous substances, which means they must be delivered with food. They perform very important physiological, i.e. structural, energy delivering, and regulatory, functions: - they constitute ca. 35-40% of muscle tissue of the body; - as the only irreplaceable energy substrate, they combine rapid non-economic glucose metabolism with slow economic metabolism of fatty acids; this direction of action obtains particular importance during exercise, especially exercise by intervals – with variable intensity – the kind we deal with in the case of many sports disciplines, in bodybuilding training sessions and at fitness classes; - they limit the decomposition and enhance the rebuilding of proteins - they improve nitrogen balance, owing to which they accelerate athletes’ adaptation to physical effort, particularly in strength, speed-strength, and endurance-strength disciplines, they facilitate convalescence after diseases and slow down the ageing processes; - they regulate fat and carbohydrate metabolism – they potentiate the decomposition and interfere with accumulation of storage fat in the body. Fat transformation intensification by free BCAA occurs both at the level of generalised body regulation as well as at the level of muscle tissue and fat tissue metabolism – it is an adaptive phenomenon which makes it possible to maintain vital balance in the state of hunger and during prolonged heavy work. The requirement for BCAA significantly increases during and after workout, in stress, in the second half of life (after 40), and on weight reduction (slimming) diets. OLIMP BCAA is a modern formula with substantial predominance of isoleucine – the most important branched amino acids. Isoleucine is the only substance regulating the metabolism of either carbohydrates or fats, depending on the current energy requirements of the body. Also its effect on fat tissue is unique. Fat is accumulated in adipose cells as a result of concurrent transformations of carbohydrates and fatty acids. Isoleucine limits concurrently both transformations – it exceptionally potently inhibits the accumulation of storage fat. The product is particularly recommended for: - high-performance and recreational athletes in order to ensure the right energy supply for workout, the acceleration of post-workout regeneration, and the improvement of skeletal muscle mass and endurance; - persons with excess adipose tissue for acceleration of dieting effects and stabilisation of the low weight level; - persons who are active, perform heavy physical work, or are exposed to environmental stress.
Recommended Use - recreational exercise - 1 tablet before and 1 tablet after workout, - high-performance sports – usually ca. 1 tablet per 10 kg of body mass, max. 8-10 tablet daily, in divided doses, e.g. 2 tablets after awakening, 2 tablets before training, 2 tablet after a training session and 2 tablet before going to bed, - in the period of body mass reduction - 2 tablet 3 times daily ca. 30 min before meals.
